PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
GIAS XPS 10MM is a rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) panel specially designed for applications where space is critical and an effective barrier against moisture and spot thermal losses is desired. Thanks to its closed-cell structure, it offers excellent compressive strength even at minimal thickness, being the optimal choice under laminate flooring or for correcting thermal bridges. Due to its reduced thickness, it integrates easily into architectural details without changing the structure or thickness of existing systems, while offering excellent mechanical and thermal performance for its class, GIAS XPS 10MM: Represents the Ultra-Thin solution for thermal bridges and Moisture-Barrier.
TYPICAL AREAS OF APPLICATION
Under Laminate/Floating Flooring: Thermo-acoustic insulating substrate that also provides protection against residual moisture from the screed.
Thermal Bridge Correction: Applied in areas where space does not allow for greater thicknesses (e.g., window frames, sills, connection zones).
Lightweight Partition Wall: Additional thermal and acoustic insulation in thin gypsum board walls.
Industrial Packaging: Thermal and mechanical protection of sensitive goods.
KEY BENEFITS
Ultra-Thin Profile (10mm): The ideal solution for renovations where floor height cannot be modified.
Moisture Barrier: Prevents moisture migration from the screed to the parquet or finishes, protecting the investment.
Stable Compression: The resistance of ≥250 kPa makes it superior to classic underlays, preventing sagging over time.
Point Thermal Improvement: Contributes to a significant reduction of thermal bridges in critical connection areas.
