PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
GIAS XPS 300F+ combines excellent mechanical strength and impermeability with optimized thermal efficiency, similar to the E+ version. As it does not contain flame retardant additives (Class F), it is a cost-effective, high-performance option intended exclusively for buried environments (basements, foundations, under slabs). Its low λD performance drastically reduces heat loss at ground level. The product meets basic mechanical requirements (CS(10) ≥ 300 kPa) and maintains good resistance properties to water, vapors, and freeze-thaw cycles.
TYPICAL AREAS OF APPLICATION
Foundations and Perimeter Walls: Insulation directly on buried walls.
Basements: Under the concrete slab of the basement (raft foundation), under load.
Waterproofing Protection: Protective layer for waterproofing membranes against mechanical damage.
Cold Storage Rooms: Insulation of cold storage floors to prevent cold penetration into the ground.
KEY BENEFITS
Superior Thermal Efficiency: Optimized $\lambda_D$ value (0.030 - 0.032 W/(m·K)) for the best thermal protection of foundations.
Total Moisture Resistance: Maintains its R-value (thermal resistance) even under groundwater, thanks to its closed-cell structure.
Impermeability and Zero Capillarity: Protects the structure from water penetration from the ground.
Optimized Cost: Ideal for underground applications, where fire safety regulations do not require Euroclass E.
